Why doesn't eCaupo take commission on orders?

Many delivery portals charge up to 25% in fees: on a typical €20 order, up to €5 goes to the portal — plus a PayPal fee surcharge. We don't think that's fair. What's fair is a fixed monthly amount: with €39 or €49 we make that work, because we run a lean operation and work in a modern way — and because you as a customer and we as eCaupo are a team. Without you we earn nothing, without our shop you earn nothing. Partnership, plain and simple.

How is my eCaupo shop updated — do I have to do anything?

No. eCaupo is continuously developed, and the development is included in your monthly fee. We install updates automatically outside your opening hours — tested beforehand on demo systems. Bug fixes never cost extra; some new additional features can optionally be booked for a small fee. We inform you by email about major new features.

How does PayPal work with eCaupo?

You connect your own PayPal business account to eCaupo via the REST API — a guide is ready, setup takes about 30 minutes. Your money arrives immediately and directly in your account; we have no access whatsoever. eCaupo charges neither a fee nor commission for this — only the usual PayPal transaction fees apply. And tips? Customers can add them in the shop, and they're collected together via PayPal.

What is the eCaupo SMS service?

Automatically send your customers an SMS, e.g. as an order confirmation or when the food is ready for pickup. The texts are already stored in the system — you just activate the service.
